November 17, 2006 - In the wee hour of Friday morning, doors opened at game stores and the major retailers to deliver the PlayStation 3 into the hands of those lucky enough to have their pre-orders honored, and those committed enough to camp, in most cases, for at least two nights on the street. For several days previous there wasn't a Best Buy or Circuit City in the country that didn't have a small shanty town erected on the street outside. Oblivious passers by stooped to gawk and were often heard debating what they were for.
